How to find The Gun

The Gun is situated in the Docklands/ Isle of Dogs on the North bank of the Thames opposite the Millennium Dome. It is at the end of a street called Coldharbour which runs alongside the river parallel with Prestons Road. It is very close to the blue bridge which marks the entrance to the West India Docks (adjacent to Marsh Wall).

From Canary Wharf:

a 10 minute walk or a 5 minute cab ride

From the Isle of Dogs:

walkable from anywhere on the Island

From the City:

a 15-20 minute cab ride or a 15 minute journey on the Docklands Light Railway starting from Bank tube station

From Blackheath:

a 10 minute car journey through the Blackwall Tunnel

From Greenwich:

a 10 minute car journey through the Blackwall Tunnel or a 15 minute walk from the Greenwich foot tunnel

From Victoria Park:

a 10 minute car journey or 20 minute bus ride to Canary Wharf

Nearest Stations

South Quay (DLR):

come out of the station and head East all the way down Marsh Wall to the mini roundabout at the end. Turn left, go over the huge blue bridge and take the first right.

Canary Wharf (DLR):

walk up to Canada Square and then up to the big roundabout which the main Eastern entrance to Canary Wharf. Take the metal staircase down to wharf level and follow the road all the way to Prestons Road (you will be surrounded by industrial land to the left and wharf to the right for most of the walk). You will go past three old cranes before arriving at the blue bridge. Cross the road and The Gun is opposite you.

Blackwall (DLR):

come out of the station and cross the huge roundabout so that you get on to Prestons Road (with Macdonalds and Billingsgate on your right and The Ibis Hotel on your left). Walk for about 5 minutes until you arrive at a postbox and take a left turn which brings you into Coldharbour. The pub is at the end of the street.
